Why Eden of the East?

Been following the series very closely and I haven't been this excited bout a series since Ouran HSHC. My reasons?
...the mystery
If there is anything that could draw me into a series is the mysterious characters and the need to find out about their backgrounds. The whole premise is simple in that Akira is competing with 11 other people to save Japan. Their methods range from equipping a hospital to castration. How and why they were chosen is still not revealed.

...the art
So Eden has been called the troll for people who watch artsy anime. True it's been frustrating, but the smooth animation and art is better than what a usual series has. Not to mention the awesome opening and ending sequences.




...AKIRA TAKIZAWA
He's not whiny. Not a harem collector or a confused emo kid, he is a terrorist. ;) No really, I could watch him all day.

I don't mind not having the large amount of money, if I have a concierge as lulzy as Juiz.

The series might not end soon since we are expecting two movies means more rollercoaster rides with Akira and the Selecao.
